Not again!

Today I get up with the news, that there is going to be held foreign minister level talk between India and Pakistan……..Not again! Problems between India and Pakistan is not new, and we have talked hundreds of time with the hope of easing our tensions (with the help of different strategies, including people to people contacts , media and trade relations, friendly train and bus service, and cricket) but nothing really worked. There always struck historic emotions(especially defeat in bangladesh war) of gaining and losing between our relations with Pakistan. Pakistan also knew that it has loosen behind India in the race of overall development. Whatever progress they achieved has invested in feeding communal forces, terrorism, intelligence conspiracies and much dreaded arms race with India. After capturing around 1/3^rd of Kashmir in the war of 1948 itself, diplomacy of Pakistan still stuck around issues of Kashmir, sir creek (marshy area along Pakistan-Gujrat border), some rivers flowing through northern india etc, which they point out for infiltrations and shameful terrorist attacks, which cause hundreds of lives in india. I am not getting much deeper in the politics of Kashmir(which consist of jihadis, separatist and communal forces, incompetent governments and development issues,etc), as I think it is our internal matter and once Pakistan give us free hand in tackling these issues without their interference and support to traitors, we shall easily see a progressing and democratic kashmir in recent future. We can observe that these issues have stretched so long that this hatred and suspicion has reached the level of people which is I think is most unfortunate. It is of such nature that beside the politicians, people of both the countries know that these talks aren’t going to give any concrete solutions to our problems with Pakistan. It become a matter of prestige and ego between people of both the countries, against which only strong democratic governments(which is only a hope for Pakistan in recent future) have the courage to adopt some working practical measures. So till then wait and have faith in cricket that it become more friendly and have the potential to make overall atmosphere more cordial, as there is little that the governments are going to do…..

People's parliament !

Today I am not talking about any dirty political issue….. I am just mentioning the process to amend the Indian constitution. For different kind of subjects there are different processes of amendment. Also it is important to mention that since almost all the acts of government are subject to judicial review, they have to make it very clear that they are not trying to amend anything, which is against the critical lenses of supreme court (which is basically based on the theme that, fundamental rights and basic structure of constitution must not be hurt). Upon such conditions under our constitution, there are many provisions which the Indian parliament could amend like any other simple law, ie. by majority voting of the present members of parliament. While there are many others, mainly those which have affect on the fundamental rights of people, centre- state relations, powers of judiciary etc, for which after taking 2/3^rd majority voting of total members of both the houses of parliament individually, the bill have to be consented by more than 50% of state assemblies of India. That is the reason why though in lok sabha governments due to its majority could able to pass the bill (with the help of party whip)even against huge opposition, but have to bow down in rajya sabha (as due to its composition state governments or say oppositions have more strength in it), as we have seen recently in the case of women’s reservation bill and lokpal bill. All this I think is sufficient for you to understand that in this era of collision government, how difficult it is to amend any provision of constitution, which have no consensus. This is mainly to protect the integrity of Indian constitution against the evil motives of some undemocratic government actions. Hence under such circumstances it becomes more important for governments to impress and have faith and respect of people through their good and sincere work and effort, for their own survival. But unfortunately even now Indian politics is reeling around evil and destructive issues of casteism, regionalism, communalism, etc instead of “development” which ultimately matters the people’s life. Think about it and try to keep ourself above such nonsense and stupid things…….and develop a progressive attitude for the creation of an actual democratic society.

Reservation: menace of modern society.

New definition of Aarakshan(reservation) is, “a political game which is played politically for the sake of politicians against nation’s integrity only for some short term political end”. neeraj. Originally constitution of India provided for reservation as an affirmative step to promote socially and educationally backward section of society, for the period of 10 years. But by regular amendments in the constitution this provision of reservation is extended just to sustain easy vote bank in the elections. Now after more then 65 years of independence, we all know that problem of untouchability is the thing of past, except in some very remote areas where SC’s are in minority. Generally each community is accepted by assimilative nature of Indian society and its people. Now benefits of reservation far outweigh its side effects in the form of increasing hatred, heartburning, enmity, and widening of general divisions in society. Also different communities take support of illegal bandhs and  violence to get their name notified in the list of SC’s. Pathetic! Once there was a time when people due to social discrimination try to hide their caste name and now they proudly demand benefits for them, as a right, as we have seen in the case of jats, gujjars and meenas. I am personally not against the policy of reservation when it is given with good intent. Now we have seen that benefits basically meant to support the backwards in society is actually being taken by most privileged section of these communities. Solution is quite simple and straight, reservation should be given on economic basis instead of caste one so that economically nonprivileged  section of society (even of high caste) without any discrimination, gets the benefit. This way once a person gets the benefits of reservation and his family comes in the privileged group automatically his claim would get lost for future benefit. This way question of reservation on the basis of religion would also get automatically resolved as it would be on the basis of economic status of the person not his religion. This is not only my view it is supported by majority of experts but unfortunately till now it doesn’t comes under the cabinet agenda. So please think about it and make a common stand in society against caste based reservation.

Environment...and people.

Today I am going to share some knowledge related to extreme weather phenomena we are facing on regular basis these days. Extreme weather phenomena basically means happening of different weather components like rainfall , winds, snowfall, heat, cold etc at its extreme level(including its irregularities and uncertainties), i.e. too large or too small. Around the world in different intensity we can observe glimpses of this phenomenon which cause enormous damage to life and property. More frequent storms, short but heavy downpour (including cloud burst) and consequent flooding, frequent heat strokes and famine like condition are quite conspicuous. Now question arises, whether these phenomenas are natural process of earth balancing or they are new, of this age only. For this I want to clarify that even with such level of scientific and technological development our knowledge related to weather and climatic elements is limited and have many flaws in it. Whatever knowledge we have point us towards increasing industrialization and urbanization and their consequent high level of pollution as the basic cause behind these changes in overall environment. Increasing emission of carbon dioxide, sulfure dioxide, methane, chloro-floro carbon etc cause different  atmospheric disabilities like global warming, depletion of ozone layer, extreme weather, etc. But scientific studies have contradictions regarding these findings, and one circle of researchers have the opinion that all these changes in atmosphere is a part of natural process, and is self balancing and wouldn’t  rise to a level non survival to human being. Hence many developed countries led by USA hesitate to sign any treaty that binds them to cut their emission level and impede their rate of development. Nobody knows who is in the right track, but one thing is clear may be this pollution and contamination level doesn’t have the potential to cause the end of this planet in recent future, but is enough to destroy the daily life of ordinary people. Now it is difficult to believe what we eat, drink or take as medicine, will make us better or have negative affect on our body. So please think about these, and spread this message that perhaps at individual level we can’t stop disaster to happen, but at least we can, as far as possible, try to save natural resources, make minimum level of pollution and contribute towards the safety of overall  environment; to make this planet earth a better place to live.
